New runs are rejected the moment your spend hits your cap - not logged after the fact and quietly overdrawn. You can raise your own cap in Settings, or buy a one-time top-up to keep going without upgrading your plan.
A scheduled job replenishes your allowance once every 24 hours, topping it back up to cover that day's typical use rather than an unconditional flat reset - enough to genuinely try the platform without a card. Full model quality for your first 48 hours; after that, free-tier usage runs on a free model tier so it stays sustainable to offer indefinitely.
A separate, cheaper plan for people who already have their own Anthropic API key - once you're signed in, you'll find it in Settings. Your key is tried first on every model call, and successful calls aren't billed against your platform credits at all.
No - a subscription is the better rate per credit. Top-ups are a convenience for topping off between billing cycles, not a way to undercut a plan's price.
Real. The orchestrator checks your running spend against your cap every iteration of every run, plus a second account-wide check to catch two runs happening at once - a run is stopped mid-way with a budget_exceeded status, not flagged after the invoice arrives.
